Biography
2013: Tied for 13th place at the CCIW Women’s Golf Championship with 91-95-91-277…averaged a team-leading 86.3 in the fall with a career-best round of 76 at the Aug. 31 Robert Morris (Ill.) “Fall Classic” and named CCIW “golfer of the week” on Sept. 4…did not play in the spring.
2012: Earned All-CCIW honors with a 10th-place finish at the CCIW Women’s Golf Championship and a score of 86-85-82-253…averaged 88.3 and matched her career-best round of 80 on Sept. 23 in the first round of the Wisconsin-Whitewater "Fall Fling."
2011: Finished 19th at the CCIW Women’s Golf Championship with an 88-88-88-264…averaged 90.9 over 11 tournaments…shot a season best 81 on the first day of the Sept. 25-26 Millikin “Red Tail Invitational.”
2010: Finished 22nd at the CCIW Women’s Golf Championship with a 93-93-187…averaged 91.0 over 12 tournaments with a career-best round of 80 in the Sept. 4 Robert Morris-Lake County “Fall Classic.”
High School: A regional medalist her senior year on a Cornbelt Conference and regional-championship team that went on to finish third at the Illinois High School Association state championship…both her sophomore and junior-year teams finished second at the regionals…a three-year team MVP…coached by her mother, Mary Jo Bell…member of the track and field team her freshman year…four-year honor student.
Personal: Double major in communication and public relations…an uncle, Bob Ferlmann, was an College Swimming Coaches Association of America All-American diver at Bradley University in the 1980s and was inducted into that school’s athletic hall of fame in 1992…another uncle, Stoney Ferlmann, played golf at the University of Notre Dame…her younger brother, Adam Bell, will be a freshman on the 2011-12 North Central College men’s golf team…named to the Carthage dean’s list five times and a four-semester member of the Carthage athletic director’s honor roll…born May 12, 1991.
