Carthage College Athletics

2012:  Earned second-team all-conference honors with a 14th-place finish at the CCIW Women’s Cross Country Championship and a season-best time of 23:20…finished 37th at the NCAA Midwest Regional with a career-best time of 22:51.00…finished third at the Wisconsin Private College Championship.

2011:  Earned All-CCIW honors with a seventh-place finish at the CCIW Women’s Cross Country Championship and a time of 23:38.78…finished 50th at the NCAA Midwest Regional with a time of 23:25.70…ran a season-best 23:11.30 at the Wheaton (Ill.) “Gil Dodds Invitational.”

2010:  Finished 36th at the CCIW Women’s Cross Country championship with a time of 24:33.80…Carthage’s top finisher at the NCAA Midwest Regional in 74th place at 23:23.50, the Lady Reds’ top individual time of the season.

2009:  Finished 29th at the CCIW Women’s Cross Country Championship with a time of 25:28.20…named CCIW “Co-Runner of the Week” after finishing seventh at the Oct. 2 Carthage Invitational…ran a season-best 23:14.53 at the Wisconsin-Oshkosh “Brooks Invitational.”

High School:  Finished 10th her junior year at the Illinois High School Association Class 1A state championship and earned all-state honors…finished 28th at the state championship her sophomore year…individual champion at the Sangamo Conference Girls Cross Country Championship both her junior and senior years…coached by Don Helfer…lettered four times in track and field and a four-time state qualifier in the 1,600-meter run finishing ninth her sophomore year, fifth her junior year and seventh as a senior …lettered four times in basketball…National Honor Society member, Illinois State Scholar, Springfield Journal-Register “scholar-athlete,” four-year high honors student and graduated with honors.

Personal:  German major…distance runner on the 2010-12 Carthage track and field teams…named to the Carthage dean’s list seven times and a seven-semester member of the Carthage athletic director’s honor roll…born Nov. 8, 1990.
