Carthage College Athletics

2019-20: Swam season-bests in the 50 freestyle (21.96), 100 freestyle (48.31) and 100 butterfly (52.60) at the CCIW Championships.

2018-19: Participated in the 100 Freestyle (48.13), 100 Butterfly (52.88), and 50 Freestyle (21.93) at the CCIW Swimming and Diving Championships.

2017-18: Finished ninth in the 50 yard freestyle (21.51) and 100 yard fly (52.42) at the CCIW Swimming and Diving Championships ... Took twelfth in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 47.71 at the CCIW Swimming and Diving Championships. 

2016-17: Participated in the 50 yard freestyle, 100 yard freestyle, and 100 yard butterfly at the CCIW Swimming and Diving Championships.

Previous School: Transferred to Carthage following one semester at Loyola University Maryland. 

High School:  Four-year letterwinner under head coaches Susan McGuire and Christel Dermer at James B. Hunt High School ... Team captain and MVP as junior and senior ... Three-time first team All-Big East Conference selection ... Four-time regional and state qualifier ... As a senior, finished first at regionals in 50 free and third in 100 fly ... At 3A State Championships took fifth in 50 free and sixth in 100 fly ... Also competed in cross country as a freshman and was a pole vaulter as a freshman and sophomore.

Personal: Communication and digital media double major ... Son of Amanda and Jonathan Compton ... Swam for East Carolina Aquatics club team under coach Casey Charles.
