KANSASVILLE, Wis. — The Carthage College women's golf team earned a second-place finish at the Midwest Region Classic on Friday and Saturday at Brighton Dale Links. The Firebirds' A team carded a two-round score of 616 to finish second out of 35 teams, while the Carthage B team placed fifth with a 645 and the Carthage C team finished 19th with a 705.

Lexi Manteufel led the Firebirds with a fourth-place finish, carding a two-round score of 149 after shooting a 77 in the opening round and a 72 in the second. Ro Longden followed in eighth place with a 153, shooting rounds of 74 and 79, while Alyssa Nenoff tied for ninth with a 154 after rounds of 74 and 80.
Emily Tralewski tied for 18th with scores of 159. Tralewski carded rounds of 76 and 83. Autumn Burnett tied for 21st with a total of 160 shooting a 73 in the opening round and 87 in the second. Mae Norman finished tied for 24th with a 161 (78-84), followed by Lauren Howe in a tie for 24th with a 161 (79-82).
McKenna Sosnowski tied 38th with a 165 (85-80), right behind is Braelyn Davoust tying for 41st with scores of 166. Nina Mayfield tied for 49th carded rounds of 85 and 82, totaling 167.
