KENOSHA, Wis. - The Carthage softball team capped off the regular season home schedule on Tuesday afternoon at Wiers Family Stadium against the Elmhurst University Bluejays. The Bluejays got the scoring started in the top of the second inning with a three-run home run from Bella Swift. The Firebirds answered with a run on an RBI ground out from Hana Adler to score Rachael Setterstrom.

The Bluejays added to their lead in the top of the third inning, utilizing a pair of walks, a wild pitch and a base hit to extend the lead to 7-1. An RBI triple for Gwen Hendrick scored Clare Rettler to cut the deficit to 7-2 after the bottom half of the inning.

The Bluejays added two more runs in the fourth and one in the fifth to take a 10-2 lead and force the run rule over the Firebirds.
