Rettler Earns CCIW Hitter of the Week Honors

NAPERVILLE - Clare Rettler of the Carthage softball team has been named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Softball Hitter of the Week, the conference announced Monday.

Rettler, a senior from Appleton, Wis., went 9-14 (.643) in the Firebirds opening four games of the season. Rettler registered a double, nine stolen bases and an inside the park home run, along with eight runs scored and a pair of runs batted in.
