KENOSHA — The No. 3 Carthage College men's volleyball team used timely runs and a balanced attack to secure a straight-set victory over St. Norbert on Thursday evening. After dropping the opening point, the Firebirds responded with a decisive run in the first set and carried that momentum throughout the match, rallying from early deficits in the second and third sets to complete the sweep 25-16, 25-20, 25-21.

• Jacob Van Ooyen opened the game with a kill to give St. Norbert the early lead. 
• A combination of aces by Ryan Bartz and a 6-0 run gave the Firebirds a commanding 19-12 lead. 
• An attack error by Kade Nelson saw Carthage win the set one, 25-16. 
• St. Norbert got off to a strong start to begin the second set, leading 10-7. 
• Carthage rallied back to tie the set at 17, led by Bartz's three kills.
• The Firebirds went on a 10-3 run to close the set, led by Joe Kolwicz, seven serves, and won 25-20. 
• The Green Knights opened the third set leading 12-10, with three kills.
• The Firebirds came back to take the lead 19-16, led by Justin Ische with two kills. 
• The Firebirds win the third set 25-21 off a block by Ische.

• Ryan Bartz had a match-best 12 kills, followed by Justin Ische and Ethan Sprague with seven. 
• Joe Kolwicz had a team-best 33 assists, followed by Devon O'Callaghan and Bartz with seven digs.
