KENOSHA - The Carthage women's cross country team turned in a strong performance at the Ken Weidt Classic, hosted by Concordia University Wisconsin on Saturday morning. The Firebirds earned a third-place team finish with 59 points, led by five runners in the top 20.
The Firebirds came in third place with 59 points.
Concordia Wisconsin won the meet with 24 points, scoring all five runners in the top ten.
Jessie Pakaski paced Carthage with a seventh-place finish, clocking in at 24:20.1.
Camryn Lau followed close behind, placing ninth at 24:48.0, while
Kylie Florance secured 12th with a time of 25:16.1.
Natalie Forward crossed in 15th at 25:32.3, and
Kristin Farabaugh rounded out the Firebirds' scoring in 17th with a time of 26:12.9.
The Firebirds return to action on Saturday, September 20, as the squad is set to run in Warenville, Ill., at the Wheaton Gil Dodds Invitational, hosted by Wheaton. For more information, visit athletics.carthage.edu.
