McNulty Named to AVCA All-America Team

LEXINGTON, Ky. — The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) has unveiled its annual selections for the National Volleyball Association (NVA) Division III Men's Volleyball All-American Teams, and among the distinguished athletes is Carthage College's Gene McNulty, who received Honorable Mention recognition.

Hailing from Oak Lawn, Ill., McNulty showcased exemplary performance throughout the season, leading the Firebirds with 741 assists across 90 sets.

McNulty earned his second AVCA All-Region honor and was named the Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Setter Co-Student-Athlete of the Year title and a coveted position on the All-CCIW First Team. McNulty's remarkable season featured a standout performance on March 16, where he tallied a season-high 50 assists against Augustana (Ill.) and surpassed the 3,000 career assists milestone. McNulty achieved 40 or more assists in six games this season.

Additionally, McNulty's consistent excellence earned him the CCIW Setter of the Week title three times during the season (February 12, March 11, and April 1).
