UW-Whitewater 8, Carthage 1
LAKE GENEVA, Wis. – The Carthage men's tennis team faced off against the UW-Whitewater Warhawks on Friday evening. It was the second matchup of the season between the two programs, as Carthage claimed an 11-4 victory over the Warhawks on Sept. 20.

 
 
In doubles play, Francisco Silveira and Cooper Ferruzzi claimed an 8-6 victory over Giovanni Vitali and Tyler Nelson. Elios Briand and Myles Krzewinski fell on the losing end of an 8-6 battle with Luke Vandonslear and Reuben Giorgio. Diego Silva and Luca Okino dropped an 8-6 contest with Drew Van Fossen and Theo Billson. The Warhawks closed out doubles play with a 2-1 lead over the Firebirds.

In singles play, Silveira fell to Vandonslear 6-1, 6-3. Krzewinski dropped a tight match against Giorgio 4-6, 7-6 (11-9), (10-7). Briand came up short against Nelson with a 1-6, 6-4, (6-1) loss. Silva dropped another close match with Van Fossen, coming up short with a 6-0, 6-7 (3-7), 6-1 finish. Ferruzzi fell to Billson 6-4, 6-0, while Victor Pimenta fell to Will Ulrich 6-4, 7-5.
