"This is the top tournament in the Midwest during the spring, so it is a great early-April test," noted Carthage College director of golf and head men's golf coach
Jay Christiansen.
"I think finishing 11th of 37 is a nice compliment to how hard we've been working. With a lineup of one senior, three sophomores, and a freshman, we probably will have a bit more unpredictability, but we have a nice combination of talent and work ethic. Since August 20th to today, I think we have steadily improved up and down our entire roster."
"I love our selflessness, I love the way we push each other to expand expectations, and we have guys that are truly passionate about golf. It makes it a lot of fun for all of us."
- The Firebirds will have the next six days off from competing for Easter break before returning to play on Friday, April 14 for the Foresters Spring Invite in Vernon Hills, Illinois.
