DECATUR, Ill. — Carthage men's golf finished in second place among the twelve teams at Millikin University's Take Back the Night Challenge after shooting 617 over the two-day event. The team shot 6 strokes ahead of North Park in third, but were passed by Parkland College with 592 in first place.

Senior Kevin Healy finished first for the Firebirds in a ninth-place tie individually, combining for a 36-hole score of 152. Healy shot 76 (+4) in both the first and second round of the tournament.
Seniors Tyler Muschewske and Austin Young both tied for 13th as they carded mutual scores of 155. Zachary Shawhan chipped in with 158, finishing in a 21st-place tie to round out the Firebird's top four.

Next up is the CCIW Championship tournament which will be held April 29 - 30 on the Brown Deer Golf Course in Milwaukee, Wis. The Firebirds were picked second in the CCIW Men's Golf Championship Coaches' Poll which was announced this past Friday.
