Game Recap: Women's Water Polo |

Water Polo Falls to Grove City on Day Two of CWPA Championships

GROVE CITY, Pa. — On the second day of the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Championships, the Carthage College women's water polo team fell to tournament host Grove City 20-7 Friday afternoon. 

Goalscorers for the Firebirds came from Gladys Contreras who had two in the contest. Sarah Lowery, Meghan Fisher, Alexandra Mears, Victoria Hodges, and Alyssa Sayatovic all tallied one goal in the game while Taylor Woitesek and Evelyn Kajohn each made a save in the match. Contreras leads the Firebirds in goals on the season with 25. 

Carthage will now play Penn State Behrend tomorrow, Saturday, April 23 at 8 a.m. CT in the seventh place game.
