KENOSHA, Wis. — The Carthage men's tennis team defeated the visiting Wisconsin Lutheran College Warriors 8-1 this Tuesday afternoon to improve to 20-1 on the season.

The match opened on doubles court three, where Nick Marino and Tripp Schulte paired up to grab an 8-0 win over the Warriors. Cooper Ferruzzi and Andre Antreassian delivered an 8-1 win on court two, and Daniel Moore and Yanozie Amadike closed out 8-1 on court one to send the match into singles action.

Court six would fall to the visiting team to open singles, before Antreassian grabbed a 6-1, 6-4 win on court three. Myles Krzewinski defeated his opponent 6-4, 6-2 on court one, and Chris Mitev followed 6-3, 6-4 on court two. Hayden Friese won his match on court four with a close 6-1, 6-7, 10-8, and Gavin Breier closed out 6-4, 6-3 on the final court of the evening

The Firebirds will travel to Lisle, Ill. this upcoming Friday to take on conference opponent North Central College.
