NAPERVILLE, Ill. — Beginning the day in fourth place in their last conference meet of the regular season, the Carthage women's bowling team went 2-1 on the day to claim third overall in the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW). 

Carthage is one of four teams to advance to the CCIW Championship tournament which will be held on the last weekend in March.

Carthage beat both North Central and Elmhurst this Sunday afternoon, before falling to Augustana in their third team game of the day. They now sport a 10-6 record with the conclusion of their final regular season tournament.

Freshman Caitlin Powers placed fourth individually among all bowlers this weekend, bowling an average game of 181.
