SMYRNA, Tn. — The Carthage women's bowling team finished 27th of 33 teams in a highly-competitive field as Vanderbilt's Music City Classic tournament concluded this Sunday afternoon.

The Firebirds went 1-4 in baker matches to open the tournament, and again went 1-4 in traditional matches in the second round. The team finished day three 2-1 in their last round of baker matches to close the tournament in 27th place.

The Firebirds had 11,596 total pin fall with an average of 176 pins per game.

Head coach Katie Zwiefelhofer:

"This elite field of collegiate teams was a great learning experience for the Firebirds to propel us into next weekend for the CCIW Championships."

The team will now prepare for the CCIW Championship tournament which will take place next weekend.
