Coachs Remarks

"The guys played well," said Carthage head men's and women's tennis coach Brady Lindsley. "Five out of our eight athletes won their first match in the singles draw and two out of our four doubles teams advanced past the first round. [Yanozie] Amadike played really well and made it all the way to the round of 16 in singles before falling to a really good opponent. Francisco [Silveira] and Amadike made it to the third round in the doubles draw before falling in a tiebreak to another good team. Overall, we did well. We just happened to run into some good players, which can happen in a tournament with as many talented players as this one."
