ST. PETER, Minn. — The Carthage men's golf team closed out the third and final day of the Twin Cities Classic in fourth place after shooting 314 (+26) collectively for the day. The Firebirds shot 301 (+13) in round one and 295 (+7) yesterday to combine for a 54-hole score of 910 (+46). St. John's held first all three rounds of the tournament, ending the event with 888 (+24).

Tyler Muschewske led Carthage's scorecard all three rounds of the tournament, ending with a third-place tie after carding 221 (+5) throughout the event. Freshman Alex Lilly tied for 15th place by carding 227 (+11), while senior Zachary Shawhan tied for 26th with 231 (+15). Both Jared Christensen and Tanner Angelstad ended in a 56th-place tie with mutual scores of 236 (+20). Cole Hanson shot a 248 (+32) as an individual competitor.

On Sunday, October 17th the Firebird men's golf team will head down to Destin, Fla. to compete in the three-round Golfweek Division III Fall Invitational.
