ST. PETER, Minn. — The Carthage men's golf team traveled to Minnesota this Saturday afternoon to compete in the Twin Cities Invitational hosted by Gustavus Adolphus College, where they finished in an eighth-place tie with the host school. The Firebirds shot 301 (+13) in the first round of the tournament today.

Tyler Muschewske led the way for Carthage after shooting even with par 72 (E) this afternoon to land in a ninth-place tie. Alex Lilly shot just two strokes above par for the day to end in a 19th-place tie, while Tanner Angelstad carded 77 (+5). Jared Christensen shot 78 (+6), while Zachary Shawhan rounded out the Firebird scorecard with 80 (+8).

Carthage is back in action tomorrow morning at 10:30 A.M. for the second round of the Twin Cities Invitational.
