NORMAL, IL. — Men's Golf finished in third place out of 14 teams this Wednesday at the CCIW Preview which was held at the Weibring Golf Club in Normal, Illinois. The Firebirds ended the one-day tournament with a total of 308 (+24), falling behind Illinois Wesleyan's A and B team in the first and second position with totals of 292 (+8) and 305 (+21).

Carthage had three players on their scorecard place in the top ten for individuals, starting with Kevin Healy in a second-place tie and a score of 72 (+1). Tyler Muschewske and Alex Green followed with their ninth-place ties and matching scores of 76 (+5). Jared Christensen ended with an 84 (+13) total, and Austin Young closed the Firebird scorecard with 85 (+14). Kyle Figlmiller grabbed a tie for 24th position on the leaderboard as he competed as an individual. 

Carthage is on the road again Friday, April 9th as they compete in the Augustana Viking Invitational in Rock Island, Illinois. The two-day tournament will be held at the Highland Springs Course with a start time of noon on Friday.
