NORMAL, IL. — Men's golf finished in a fifth-place tie amongst 20 teams in the Illinois Wesleyan Invitational this Friday. Three other teams also tied for fifth, matching the Firebirds' day one score of 310 (+22). Illinois Wesleyan leads all teams with a first place score of 283 (-5).

Zachary Shawhan landed a 5-way tie for ninth-place on the individual leaderboard after shooting 74 (+2) for the evening. Tyler Muschewske and Alex Green both shot 78 (+6) for round one, while Kevin Healy and Austin Young ended with 80 (+8) and 81 (+9) respectively.

Carthage is scheduled to finish the final round of the Illinois Wesleyan Invitational tomorrow morning at the Ironwood Golf Course in Normal, Illinois.
