KENOSHA, Wis.  — In the opening round of the Collegiate Water Polo Association Division III Championship, the Carthage College women's water polo team fell to Austin 17-2 on Saturday at Koenitzer Aquatic Center. 

Austin (5-2) scored six goals before Carthage (0-9) tallied a goal from Annika Hoglund. Though the Firebirds got a goal from Izzy Bertaud the Kangaroos won 17-2. 

Carthage will now take on Grove City on Sunday, April 18 at 9 a.m.
