DECATUR, IL. — Four members of the Carthage men's golf team competed as individuals in the Millikin Take Back The Night Challenge which began this Saturday at the Red Tail Run Golf Course in Decatur, Illinois. The Firebirds did not compete as a team scorecard in this tournament due to Covid safety protocol.

Austin Young and Zach Shawhan led the way for Carthage as they both landed in a 20th-place tie on the leaderboard with matching scores of 75 (+3). Cole Hanson ended the round with a score of 78 (+6). Brett VanDeWostine was the last Firebird to participate in the event and shot 105 (+33) for the day.

Carthage is back in action tomorrow morning as round two starts up of the Millikin Take Back the Night Challenge.
