Water Polo Falls to Macalester on the Road

ST. PAUL, Minn. — The Carthage College women's water polo team fell to Macalester in doubleheader action 15-2 and 20-7 on Saturday.

After Macalester (4-0, 4-0 CWPA) took the first game 15-2, Carthage (0-8, 0-7 CWPA) got on the board in game two with two goals from Victoria Hodges making it 5-2. After the Scots added a lone goal, Arianna Dakuras found the back of the net to make it 6-3. Meghan Fisher tallied a goal to get the Firebirds within three. Though Carthage registered goals from Alyssa Sayatovic and Taylor Woitesek, Macalester won the game 20-7.

Next up, the Firebirds will host the CWPA Championships which are scheduled to start on April 17.
