BATAVIA, Ill. —The Carthage College women's bowling squad finished the final Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Quad match of the season on Saturday.

In traditional five-person games, the Firebirds lost to Aurora 866-837 in the first match of the day. In the second match, Marian beat Carthage 940-803. 

In baker sets, the Spartans defeated the Firebirds 803-773. Carthage nearly won over Marian 858-834 in the second baker match of the day. 

The Firebirds gear up for the CCIW Bowling Championship starting on March 13 as they host the tournament at Castle Lanes.
