FORT ATKINSON, Wis. — After beginning the day in fifth place, the Carthage women's bowling team defeated both Quincy & Aurora University to finish third in the Warhawk Classic championship bracket this Sunday afternoon.

The Firebirds began their bracket by defeating Aurora University in a five game total pinfall match 904 - 892, before falling to tournament champion Marian University in the second round. Carthage would clinch round three 861 - 821 against Quincy University to improve their record to 7 - 3 on the weekend and secure their third place finish.

Next up for the Firebirds is the Warhawk Open on December 4th and 5th in Addison, Ill.
