FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS, Ill. — After bowling five baker & five traditional matches throughout Friday and Saturday at the Bearcat Hammer Open, the Carthage women's bowling team closed out the tournament with a best-of-seven baker match play bracket this Sunday afternoon.

The Firebirds toppled conference opponent North Central 4 - 1 in their first baker match of the day, before falling 4 - 1 to both Carroll University and Division II Quincy.

"We're excited for the rest of the season and continuing to grow together as a team this year" said head coach Katelyn Zwiefelhofer.

On November 6 - 7, the team will head down to Oshkosh, Wis. to compete in the Titan Invitational hosted by UW-Oshkosh.
