SANDESTIN, Fla. — The Carthage men's golf team capped off their fall season this Tuesday afternoon by shooting a season-best 292 (+8) in the final round of the Golfweek DIII Invitational.

Kevin Healy led the way for the Firebirds today by carding an even par 71 to finish alongside Tyler Muschewske (73 +2) with 226 (+13) for the event. Zach Shawhan shot one over par this afternoon to finish alongside Tanner Angelstad with 231 (+18) for the tournament. Freshman Alex Lilly posted 77 (+6) today to round out the Firebird scorecard.

The Firebirds shot 914 (+62) over three days to finish in 23rd place for the event, which saw Emory University card 840 to take first.

The Firebirds head into the offseason at the end of the week and will resume tournament play on March 19th at the UT-Dallas Spring Invitational.
