SANDESTIN, Fla. — The Carthage men's golf team combined for 312 (+28) this Sunday afternoon in what was their first of three days of competition at Golfweek's Division III Fall Invitational in Florida. The Firebirds finished in 22nd place of the 24 teams in attendance.

Tyler Muschewske holds a 32nd-place tie to lead the Firebird squad after shooting 74 (+3) today. Kevin Healy carded a 78 (+7) for the day, while Zachary Shawhan and Tanner Angelstad both shot 80 (+9) for their first 18. Alex Lilly rounded out Carthage's five-man scorecard with 83 (+16) to give the team their round one finish of 312 (+28).

Emory University currently sits on top of the highly competitive leaderboard after carding 287 (+3) for the first round.

The Firebirds will tee off for round two of the invitational tomorrow morning at 7:30 A.M.
