LAKE FOREST, Ill. – The Carthage College women's swimming and diving team defeated Lake Forest 158-82 Saturday at Lake Forest College Sports & Recreation Center. 

The Lady Reds took first place in ten events on the day as Becca Rutkowski led the way winning in the 100-meter and 200-meter freestyle. Rutkowski also swam in the 200-meter freestyle relay with teammates Izzy Bertaud, Gianna McGuire and DeAnn Jones clocking a time of 1:52.76. 

Also receiving first place finishes was Jones in the 50-meter freestyle, Heather Walker in the 100-meter backstroke, Jordyn Bloode in the 400-meter freestyle and Mary Gargano-Price in the 100-meter breaststroke. 

The relay team of Heather Walker, Mackinzee Macho, McGuire and Jones placed first with a time of 2:07.41. 

In diving events, Trisha Garcia won in one-meter and three-meter diving. 

Carthage returns to action on Saturday, November 2 traveling to face UChicago starting at 12 p.m.
