Final Results
KENOSHA, Wis. – The Carthage College Red Men opened the 2019 portion of their schedule on a high note Saturday afternoon, defeating the Augustana College Vikings at Koenitzer Aquatic Center, 178-96.

The win moves the two-time defending College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin champions to 4-0 on the season and to 2-0 in head-to-head dual meets with CCIW foes. Augustana falls to 3-2 with the loss.

The Red Men started the day off with a convincing win in the 200-yard medley relay to open the meet, as
Mitch Scarski,
Jack Wallar,
Nicholas Nevins and
Adam Moskus took first [1:35.60]. Scarski and Nevins followed their first-place relay up with a pair of individual wins for each. Scarski took first in the 50 backstroke [25.15] and 100 back [54.22], while Nevins took first in the 50 free [21.66] and 200 individual medley [2:04.58].

Jack Wallar followed his relay win with a first place swim in the 100 breaststroke [59.44] and Moskus capped his first events with Carthage with a first place win in the 200 free [1:48.42].

Nick Seroni rounded out the Red Men with multiple wins on the day, taking first in the 50 butterfly [23.50] and 500 free [4:55.82]. Picking up the final solo wins over the Vikings were
Cooper Hawkins in the 1000 free [10:12.84],
Mitchell Mages in the 50 breast [27.35] and
Sam Gabriel in the 100 free [48.36]. Seroni's 500 free and Gabriel's 100 free were both personal bests.

The Red Men will return to action next Saturday when they host the Wheaton College Thunder on January 19th at Koenitzer at 11:00 a.m.
