MONMOUTH, ILL.—The Carthage College water polo team embarked on the two-day 2018 CWPA Tournament II at the Pepper Natatorium in Monmouth, Ill. on Saturday, where they faced Grove City College and Connecticut College.
Allie Boothe's four goals propelled the Lady Reds over Grove City College 12-7, while
Jessica Graziano contributed four in a 9-5 loss to Connecticut College.

The Lady Reds stand at 5-9, 3-3 CWPA after Saturday. Grove City sits at 3-5, 2-3 CWPA after Saturday, while Connecticut College improves to 4-4, 4-2 CWPA.

Boothe paced all players in the contest with four goals, while
Mae Van Beest followed with three.
Morgan Fingerson was a force on both ends of the pool with two goals and four steals in the contest. Graziano contributed two goals for the Lady Reds, while
Lauren Patt's goal rounded out the scorers.

Emma Jeronimus came up big with 24 saves in the contest. Jeronimus also dished four assists.

Graziano carried the Lady Reds on her shoulders with four goals against the Camels. Van Beest tacked on a goal to round out the Carthage scorers. Jeronimus turned away 12 shots in net for the Lady Reds.

Stephanie Lopez led all scorers in the contest with six goals for Connecticut College, while Ginny McCool tallied one.

Carthage will conclude the 2018 CWPA Tournament II tomorrow, Sunday, March 25 against host Monmouth College at 1:30 p.m.
