NEW LONDON, CONN.—The second day of the Collegiate Water Polo Association I Tournament pitted the Carthage Lady Reds against Utica College and Macalester College. The Lady Reds converted their first CWPA victory of 2018 with a 13-4 decision over Utica. Carthage couldn't rebound from a loss to Macalester at the Koenitzer Aquatic Center on February 25 as they fell to them 10-4 on Saturday.

The split sends Carthage's record to 3-8, 1-2 CWPA. Utica's loss sends their record to 0-1 while Macalester improved to 3-0 in 2018.

Jessica Graziano led Carthage on both ends of the pool with five goals, two assists and two steals against Utica.
Lauren Patt and
Allie Boothe each contributed a pair of goals to round out the Lady Reds with multiple scores.

Jane Eckles and
Morgan Levy each chipped in a goal for the Carthage offense.

Graziano and Eckles each netted a pair of goals for the Carthage offense, but it wasn't enough as they fell victim to the Scots for the second time this season. Cara Mullery led all goal scorers in the contest with five for Macalester.Â
The Lady Reds will look to keep Washington & Jefferson College's winless 0-6 season intact tomorrow, Sunday, March 11 at the Lott Natatorium in New London, Conn at 11:45 a.m. (ET).
