KENOSHA, Wis. – The Carthage College Red Men split a pair of matches on Sunday at Kenosha's Eastside Tennis and Fitness Club, rebounding from an early morning loss to the College of Wooster and coming back with a strong win over Concordia University of Wisconsin.
 
The split moves the Red Men to 3-2 on the season, while Wooster goes to 3-1 with a pair of wins and Concordia falls to 1-5 after a pair of losses.
 
In the morning match, despite a 2-1 lead after doubles courtesy of Herman Abban and Daniel Moore in the ones and Matt Krzewinski and Fordy Leipold in the threes, the Red Men slipped up in singles, falling in four of the six matches to drop the overall match by one.  Daniel Moore and John Nykyforuk earned the singles win for the Red Men.
 
Moore finished the day a perfect 4-0 as the freshman won again with Abban in doubles over Concordia and didn't drop a set in singles. 
 
Jaworski and Nykyforuk, along with Krzewinski and Leipold, both won their respective doubles matches 8-4, and all six Red Men in the singles matches won in straight sets.
