Final Results
KENOSHA, Wis. – The Carthage College Red Men opened their 2018 home season at Koenitzer Aquatic Center on Saturday afternoon, as the two-time defending College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin champions defeated Lake Forest College in their opening dual meet, 169-102.

The Red Men took first in 11 of the events on Saturday, including the opening relay on the day, the 400 medley realy, as
Sam Gabriel,
Mitchell Mages,
Nick Seroni and Nicholas Seroni took the top spot [3:30.44]. Each of the relay winners collected at least one individual win, as Seroni took first in the 200 freestyle [1:50.33] and Nevins won the 50 free [21.67].  Gabriel and Mages each won a pair of solo races on the day, as Gabriel took first in the 100 backstroke [52.76] and 200 backstroke [1:57.38], while the reigning CCIW Men's Swimmer of the Week, Mages, won the 100 free [48.13] and 200 individual medley [2:02.27].

Jack Wallar led the other three Red Men that won events over the weekend, taking first in the 100 breaststroke [1:00.60] and 100 butterfly [56.09], while
Ethan Hare won the 200 breast [2:22.88] and
Cooper Hawkins earned first in the 1000 free [10:15.46].

The Red Men will return to action for their first multi-day event of the season next weekend, when Carthage will travel to Grand Rapids, Michigan for the 2018 Calvin College Quad Invitational. Action will start on Friday at 6:00 p.m. and continue with Saturday at 10:00 a.m.
