Final Results
BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Carthage College men's and swimming and diving program had another great weekend at the Illinois Wesleyan University triangular on Saturday, as the Red Men dominated their competition, defeating the Titans and Illinois Institute of Technology in their head-to-head matchups.

Now 5-0 on the season, the Red Men beat the Titans 237-53 and topped IIT 210-84.

Sam Gabriel turned in a historic performance on Saturday, breaking Illinois Wesleyan University's Fort Natatorium pool record with a first place finish in the 100 backstroke [52.07]. Gabriel also turned in a first place swim in the 200 back [1:55.36] and was a member of the 200 medley relay team that took first along with
Paul Devereux,
Jack Wallar and
Nicholas Nevins [1:37.39].

Another outstanding performance came from
Aaron San Juan, as the junior diver qualified for the NCAA Regional Diving Championships after taking first in the one-meter [267.90] and three-meter [293.60] competitions.

Jack Wallar led the Red Men on Saturday, collecting four wins on the afternoon, adding the 200 free relay [1:28.89] with
Ross Wilson,
Mitchell Mages and Devereux once again for the Red Men's second relay win. Wallar also added a pair of individual wins in the breaststroke events, taking first in the 100 breast [59.19] and the 200 [2:12.71].

Rounding out the wins for the Red Men on Saturday was Nicholas Seroni with a pair of wins in the butterfly events, finishing first in the 100 fly [53.20] and 200 fly [1:57.81].Â
Chris Russo won the 100 free [49.13],
Nicholas Wolff took first in the 500 free [4:56.74] and
Cooper Hawkins in the 200 IM [1:58.23].

The Red Men will return to action next weekend for the three-day Phoenix Fall Classic hosted by the University of Chicago. The competition will open on Friday and each day events will begin at 1:00 p.m.
