RACINE, WIS.—A four-match losing skid was looming over the Carthage College men's tennis team prior to Friday evening's meeting with UW-Eau Claire at the Racine Tennis Club. The Red Men returned to the Racine Tennis Club for the beginning of a three-match home stand.

The next three matches happen to be against WIAC competition. The Blugolds were first on the Red Men's docket on Friday evening. Carthage got the best of UW-Eau Claire in a 5-4 victory.

The Red Men improve to 6-4, 0-0 CCIW while UW-Eau Claire falls to 9-2, 0-0 WIAC.

Stellar doubles play from the Red Men provided their spark plug. The doubles team of

Chris Conley registered an 8-6 victory.
Alex Boomgarden and
Ryan Jump matched that with an 8-6 doubles victory for Carthage.

Alex Ferruzzi couldn't string another doubles victory for the Red Men as they fell 8-2.
