Alex Boomgarden (Jr., Fitchburg, Wis./Verona Area, 9-2) defeated Will Weyenberg at No. 2 singles, 6-1, 6-1.Â
Jordan Verbauwhede (Jr., Whitelawe, Wis./Manitowoc-Lincoln, 7-5) was a winner at No. 2 singles, as was
Chris Conley (Jr., Elm Grove, Wis./Brookfield Academy, 9-3) at No. 4 singles.Â
Nick Stephan (Sr., Long Grove, Ill./Lincolnshire-Stevenson, 6-4) lost at No. 5 singles, as did
Alex Ferruzzi (Jr., Kenosha, Wis./Salem-Westosha Central, 6-4) at No. 6 singles.

The No. 1 doubles tandem of Jaworski and Verbauwhede (6-3) defeated Wisconsin-Eau Claire, 9-8(2). The duo of Boomgarden and Conley (5-2) lost at No. 2 doubles, as did the pair of Stephan and Ferruzzi (0-1) at No. 3 doubles.

Carthage travels to Madison, Wis., on Friday-Saturday, March 6-7 for a pair of matches at Cherokee Country Club. The Red Men take on Luther College on Friday, March 6 at 6 p.m., followed by a 3:30 p.m. contest versus Grinnell College on Saturday, March 7.
