ResultsThe Carthage College men's swimming team (3-0) swept a Saturday, Nov. 8 double-dual meet at Illinois Wesleyan University's Fort Natatorium in Bloomington, Ill. The Red Men defeated the host-Titans, 183-85, and won over Illinois Tech by a 195-84 margin.
Carthage had four double-winners.
Ben Ertl (Sr., Phillips, Wis.) won both the 50 freestyle (22.37) and the 100 backstroke (56.55),
Chris Riordan (So., Skokie, Ill./Niles-North) both the 100 breaststroke (1:01.41) and the 200 breastroke (2:17.29),
James Hasbrouck (So., Wheaton, Ill./Wheaton-Warrenville South) both the 100 freestyle (50.40) and the 200 freestyle (1:50.75), and
Lee Hollman (So., Fort Atkinson, Wis.) won both the 100 butterfly (53.84) and the 200 backstroke (2:03.06).
Nathan Morris (Fr., Aurora, Ill./Waubonsie Valley) won the 1,000 freestyle (10:23.60), and
Michael Modesti (Fr., Racine, Wis./Horlick) place first in one-meter diving (237.20).
Carthage also picked up a win form its 200 medley relay team of Hollman, Riordan, James Weslaski (So., Racine, Wis./Case) and Hasbrouck with a time of 1:41.27. Carthage travels to St. Peter, Minn., on Saturday, Nov. 22 for the Gustavus Adolphus Invitational at the Lund Center Natatorium, beginning at 10 a.m.
