The Carthage College men's swimming team (1-2 dual-meet record), ranked 34th in the Nov. 6 "CollegeSwimming.com" NCAA Division III poll, defeated Illinois Wesleyan University, 143-77, on Saturday, Nov. 9 at the Koenitzer Aquatic Center in Kenosha, Wis.
Freshman
Lee Hollman (Fort Atkinson, Wis.) led the Red Men with wins in both the 50 freestyle (22.04) and the 200 backstroke (2:01.63).
Eric Primdahl (Sr., Kildeer, Ill./Arlington Heights-St. Viator) won the 100 freestyle (50.48) and took second in the 200 individual medley (2:05.46).
Nick Sall (Fr., Zeeland, Mich./West) won the 500 freestyle (4:46.16),
Lucas Linder (So., Bensenville, Ill./Fenton) the 200 breaststroke (2:20.64),
James Weslaski (Fr., Racine, Wis./Case) the 100 butterfly (54.49), James Hill (Fr., Prospect Heights, Ill./Arlington Heights-Hersey) the 100 backstroke (56.61) and
James Hasbrouck (Fr., Wheaton, Ill./Wheaton-Warrenville South) the 200 freestyle (1:50.85).
The Red Men collected second-place finishes from
Mitch Reecher (Jr., Byron, Ill.) in the 100 backstroke (56.72),
Teryn Solan (Jr., St. John, Ind./Lake Central) in the 1,650 freestyle (16:58.20) and
Chris Riordan (Fr., Skokie, Ill./Niles North) in the 200 freestyle (1:51.98).
Carthage travels to La Crosse, Wis., on Saturday, Nov. 23 for the Wisconsin-La Crosse "River City Relays" at the Mitchell Hall Aquatics Center, beginning at 10 a.m.
