The Carthage College women's water polo team (17-9, 9-1 Collegiate Water Polo Association Eastern Division), tied for seventh place in the May 5 Collegiate Water Polo Association's NCAA Division III coaches poll, finished third at the 2010 National Collegiate III Women's Water Polo Championship. Carthage's third-place finish was the highest ever for a non-California team in the event.

Carthage's Kimmy Genian (Jr., Gurnee, Ill./Highland Park) was named first-team Collegiate Water Polo Division III all-conference, with Patti Blatter (Sr., Prospect Heights, Ill./Wheeling) and Liza Dickinson (Sr., Mundelein, Ill.) earning second-team all-conference honors.

Genian was also named to the all-tournament team at the Collegiate Water Polo Association's Division III Eastern Championship, Blatter was named first-team all-tournament and LaChee Singleton (So., Burbank, Calif.) second-team all-tournament at the National Collegiate III Women's Water Polo Championship
