The Carthage College men's swimming team (5-5 dual-meet record) split a Saturday, Jan. 16 triangular meet at Northwestern University's Norris Aquatics Center in Evanston, Ill.   The Red Men lost to the NCAA Division I Wildcats, 126-73, but edged NCAA Division II Lewis University, 103-101. 

Carthage's Alex Van Huis (Sr., Winneconne, Wis.) won the 200 breaststroke (2:15.93). Kyle Drake (Jr., Aurora, Ill./Waubonsie Valley) finished second in the 200 backstroke (1:55.86), as did Nathan Ripley (Sr., Middleton, Wis.) in the 50 freestyle (21.80) and Mike Moravek (So., Rolling Meadows, Ill./Palatine-Fremd) in the 200 breaststroke (2:18.43). Carthage plays host to Wheaton College (Ill.) on Saturday, Jan. 23 in a 1 p.m. dual meet at the Koenitzer Aquatic Center in Kenosha, Wis.
