The Carthage College men's volleyball team (0-1), ranked ninth in the pre-season American Volleyball Coaches Association NCAA Division III poll, opened its 2010 season on Wednesday, Jan. 13 with a 3-0 loss to NCAA Division I Loyola University (Ill., 1-0) at Alumni Gym in Chicago.  The Ramblers' winning set scores over the Red Men were 30-18, 30-14 and 30-23. Randy Hansen (So., Oak Lawn, Ill.) led Carthage with 12 kills, while Tom O'Connell (Jr., Chicago, Ill./Brother Rice) had seven kills. On Friday, Jan. 15, the Red Men play host to D'Youville College in a 7 p.m. match at Tarble Arena in Kenosha, Wis.
