The Carthage College women's cross country team (38-32-1) finished 26th at the Saturday, Oct. 15 Wisconsin-Oshkosh “Brooks Invitational” at the Lake Breeze Golf Course in Winneconne, Wis. Washington University (Mo.) won the 43-team event with 61 points, followed the Massachusetts Institute of Technology second at 123, Calvin College third at 188, St. Olaf College fourth at 190 and Ohio Northern University fifth with 222 points.
Erica Jackey from Washington (Mo.) won the 6K race with a time of 21:38.13. Carthage's
Karin Wirth (Jr., Springfield, Ill./Pleasant Plains) was 73rd at 23:19.93, and
Katie Kummerer (So., Willowbrook, Ill./Hinsdale-Central) finished 115th at 23:47.24.
Morgan Wiechmann (Sr., Sleepy Hollow, Ill./Carpentersville—Dundee-Crown) finished at 24:33.66,
Lauren Sible (Sr., Oregon, Ill./Byron) at 24:34.82,
Anabel Martinez (Jr., Aurora, Ill./East Aurora) at 25:19.09,
