Carthage's Steve Djurickovic (Jr., Pleasant Prairie, Wis./Kenosha-Bradford) was named CCIW “Men's Basketball Player of the Week” on Feb. 1 for the third time this season. In Carthage's 76-61 win at North Park University on Jan. 27, Djurickovic scored game-high 36 points on 10-of-17 field goals, including eight-of-10 three-pointers and a perfect eight-of-eight free throws, along with four rebounds and 10 assists. With the eight-of-10 three-point attempts, Djurickovic tied a CCIW game record for three-point field-goal percentage first set by Millikin University's Joe Guin against Wheaton College (Ill.) in 1988 and later matched by North Park's Jack Ecker in his 54-point game effort versus Carthage in 1995. 

On Jan. 30, he scored had 18 points on five-of-13 from the floor and a perfect eight-of-eight from the free-throw line, along with four rebounds and 10 assists in an 80-55 thumping of No. 21 Illinois Wesleyan University at Tarble Arena. The win over the Titans gave the Red Men sole possession of first place in the CCIW. Djurickovic earned conference “co-player of the week” honors on both Nov. 30 and Jan. 25.
