KENOSHA, WIS.—Carthage College men's track & field senior
Brad Krueger was named to the 2018 College of Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Division III Men's Track & Field Google Cloud Academic All-America Third Team on Tuesday. Krueger, who holds a 3.92 cumulative grade point average as a chemistry and physics major, is the first Red Men track & field athlete to earn Academic All-American, and the 13
th in school history. He is the first Carthage Academic All-American since 2015 when Nick Schmidlkofer (baseball) was named to the first team.

Josh Henry. "For four years, Brad has been an exceptional student-athlete who constantly pushed himself to be better than the day before. The fact this is the program's first CoSIDA Academic All-American makes the accomplishment even more special for Brad and our program."

The Marshfield, Wisconsin native claimed the 2018 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Indoor Heptathlon Championship with 4519 points, which converted to 4540 due to track size. Krueger's career-bests in the 55 meter dash (6.93) and shot put (12.19m) helped cement his CCIW Indoor Heptathlon Championship. His 4540 points ranked him 32
nd among NCAA Division III multi-event specialists.

The two-time CoSIDA Academic All-District honoree closed his collegiate outdoor career with a personal-best 6211 points in the decathlon at the CCIW Outdoor Championship, which put him in second place out of nine athletes. Career-bests in the 100 meter dash (11.76), 110 meter hurdles (16.13), long jump (6.24m) and shot put (12.30m) highlighted his performance at the CCIW Outdoor Championship, where his 6211 points in the heptathlon ranked him 23
rd in the country. Krueger also competed in the javelin at the CCIW Outdoor Championship, where he notched an eighth-place mark of 48.01m.
