From Sublette, Ill., and the brother of 1992 Carthage Athletic Hall of Fame inductee Stan Truckenbrod, Sidney Truckenbrod lettered four times in football (1962-65) and four time in track and field (1963-66). In football, he was named a first-team All-CCIW offensive lineman in 1965, as well as United Press International All-Wisconsin. He set a Carthage career record for kick conversion points (97) that stood until broken by Matt Denny from 2004 to 2007. In track and field, Truckenbrod won CCIW discus titles in both 1964 and 1965 and finished second in 1966.
