From Rolling Meadows, Ill., Rob Garnes was only five players to be named first-team All-CCIW four-straight years (2000-03). Garnes was also named “D3hoops.com”second-team All-Midwest Region in 2002 and third-team all-region in 2003. He is ranked eighth on Carthage’s career scoring list (1,640 points), first in blocks (159), fourth in free-throw attempts (507), fourth in rebounds (882), sixth in field goals (639), sixth in free throws (350). Garnes also lettered three times in football between 1999 and 2001 as a wide receiver and named second-team All-CCIW in 1999 and first-team all-conference in 2000. In football, he set career records for pass receptions, receiving yards and most touchdown passes caught and season marks for receiving yards and touchdown passes that stood until the 2008 season.
