From Evansville, Ind., Randal Baker lettered four times in football (1999-2002). In 2002, he was named a second-team All-American running back by Hewlett Packard/CoSIDA, "D3football.com" and Football Gazette, as well as first-team All-CCIW and winner of the CCIW’s Art Keller "Offensive Player of the Year Award.” Baker was also selected to play in the 2002 Aztec Bowl. He was named first-team All-CCIW in 2001. Baker rushed for 3,630 career yards, second only to Jim Jodat (4,079 yards, 1972-75) on the Carthage career list. Baker is only the second Carthage player, besides Jodat, to rush for 1,000 or more yards in two different seasons.
