One of the top outside hitters in the storied history of Carthage women's volleyball, Collison joined the program in 2007 from De Pere, Wis. She jumped into the starting lineup as a freshman where she recorded 341 kills, and over 100 blocks and was named the AVCA (American Volleyball Coaches Association) Midwest Region and CCIW Freshman of the Year.
As a sophomore, Collison tallied 377 kills at 3.14 kills per set and was named a first team All-American by the AVCA, before earning an All-American honorable mention nod the following season in 2009. An All-CCIW First Team honoree as a sophomore and junior, Collison was selected as a CoSIDA/ESPN the Magazine District V First Team All-Academic member her senior season.
Collison ranks among the best in the Carthage women's volleyball record book, as her 425 career block assists ranks fourth, her 1,237 kills rank sixth, and her hitting percentage of 0.356 as a freshman is the fifth-highest in a single season.
